1968 Mustang Fastback Restoration

1968 Mustang Fastback Shown here, this Mustang restoration is in it's early stage.  The trim has all been removed, and the paint is in the process of removal.  The rear quarters are in need of replacement.
Mustang restoration The Mustang's quarter sections have been replaced and the rear tail light panel has been repaired.
Mustang engine compartment At this stage in the restoration, the fenders have been removed to refinish the engine compartment.  The inner fender wells will be undercoated before they are re-installed.  The Mustang has been primered and will be ready for the base coat of paint soon.
Interior Removed March 13, 2002 Update:

Most of the Mustang's interior has be removed to begin the interior restoration.

Refinishing Panels Here are the interior panels.  The side panels in the top of the picture looked like the rear deck panel in the bottom of the shot before we refinished them.  In most cases, original interior panels can be restored if they are not damaged.
Floor preparation The floors are being prepared for painting.
Mustang in primer The Mustang's body is now in primer.
Right side The primer is ready for block sanding in preparation for it's first coat of paint.
