1968 Mustang Restoration

We just got this 1968 Mustang in for a full custom restoration.  This car will be shown in our Gallery at all the major steps of its restoration.  These first shots below were taken in the owner's driveway this evening when we picked up the car.  (Yes, we do pick up and delivery for anywhere in the continental United States -- Call for info and rates)

1968 Mustang - Click to enlarge This Mustang has been stored in this condition for the last 15 years.  No engine or transmission.  It looks very rough, but this mustang is solid and can be restored as you will see in the months ahead.
1968 Mustang, Rear view - Click to enlarge Again, the body looks rough, but solid.
Inspecting the trunk of the Mustang - Click to enlarge Keith, owner and operator of Independent Autobody PLUS, inspects the Mustang's trunk.

Some new panels will be used on both sides.

Inside the Mustang's trunk - Click to enlarge We find that the Mustang has a good, solid trunk.
1968 Mustang interior - Click to enlarge The Mustang's interior is as incomplete as the rest of the car.  Some rust here, but this can be repaired.  The door jamb areas look good.
The Mustang is loaded onto the trailer - Click to enlarge The car is loaded onto the trailer and secured.   The fenders were held in place by only one bolt, so they were removed and placed inside the car for transport.  The hood was also placed inside and all the parts were tied down securely.
Stripped out The Mustang has been stripped out and the doors have been removed.

Sanded The necessary paint has been removed and the car is ready to be sand blasted.
