Taking pictures for your estimate:

We need a total of 8 pictures of your car for estimates by E-mail or Postal Mail as follows:

• From the front corners of the car down BOTH sides.  The pictures should clearly show the front and side of the car.  Example: click here
• From the rear corners of the car up BOTH sides.  The pictures should clearly show the rear and side of the car.  Use about the same angle as in the example for the front pictures.
• Open the trunk and take a picture of the trunk area.  Example: click here
• Open the hood and take a picture of the engine compartment.  Example: click here
• Take a picture of the interior of the car.  Example: click here
• Take a picture underneath the car.  The picture should be representative of the overall condition of the underside of the car.

(8 pictures:  4 total of the body, 1 trunk, 1 engine compartment, 1 underneath, 1 interior)

For E-mail pictures, save the pictures as JPEG format (.jpg) images.  Size the pictures to about 400 X 300 pixels or about 5.5" X 4.25".

If mailing us pictures by postal mail, just send standard developed color snapshots.

If you have a photo quality printer, you may print your own pictures, as long as they are a good indicator of the condition of the car.

We regret that we cannot give you an estimate by mail or e-mail without the pictures.

Please note that pictures will NOT be returned.

On-line estimates and estimates by postal mail will only give a rough idea of the total cost, and is not intended to be a final estimate.  A firm and final estimate can only be made by a personal inspection, performed by a representative of Independent Autobody PLUS.

Any information you give us will NOT be sold to, shared with, or traded to anyone outside our organization.  We respect your privacy.
